Kart Day ("Kart Day," "we," "us") is operated by DataStew LLC. This policy explains what information we collect through kartday.com and our related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. The Service is currently offered only to users in the United States; if that changes, we'll update this policy to cover any additional rights that apply where you live.

Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information

When you or your organization create an account, we collect information like your name, preferred name, email address, phone number, password, and — if you choose to add them — an emergency contact, a short bio, social media links, and the name you race under at a given venue's timing system (your "ClubSpeed name").

Family & Guardian Accounts

A parent or guardian can request accounts for the drivers they're responsible for (for example, their kids) through our family registration process. Those accounts are set up and reviewed by our staff, not created directly by a minor, and are linked to the requesting guardian, who can manage and edit them.

Registration & Race Data

When you register for an event we collect your entry details (event, session, status), and as races happen we record race data tied to your driver profile — finishing positions, lap times, kart assignments, penalties, and season points.

Communications

If you contact us — including submitting an organizer inquiry to run your own league on Kart Day — we collect what you send us: your name, organization, email, phone number, and message.

Automatically Collected Information

We use privacy-focused analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic and site performance. These tools are designed to avoid collecting personal data or using persistent cross-site cookies. We also use an automated bot-detection service to distinguish real visitors from bots on our public forms, which involves sharing your IP address and some device/browser signals with that service for that purpose.

Information From Race Venues

Many of our partner venues run their own timing system (typically ClubSpeed) that independently records lap times and the name a racer entered at the kiosk. Where a venue's timing data is publicly viewable, we may reference it to reconcile results with your Kart Day driver profile — matching is based on the name you're racing under, and we don't receive anything from the venue's system beyond what its own public results already show.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and driver profile
• Process event registrations and run race day (grids, results, scoring, standings)
• Send account, registration, and event-related communications
• Respond to organizer inquiries and support requests
• Maintain the security of the Service and prevent abuse (including bot/spam prevention)
• Improve the Service based on aggregate usage and performance data

Public Information & Your Privacy Controls

Kart Day is a racing platform, so some information is public by design — event entries, starting grids, live results, and season standings are visible to anyone on the site, since that's the point of running a competitive event. Driver names on these pages link to a public profile only if that driver (or their guardian) has opted in.

From your account page, you or your guardian can control whether your profile is public at all, and toggle specific sections independently — your bio, event history, socials, ClubSpeed names, and profile photo. Turning a section off removes it from your public profile; it doesn't remove your name from results and standings, which reflect what actually happened on track.

Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by adults, on behalf of themselves and any minors they are responsible for. We don't knowingly allow a child to create their own account; accounts for minors are requested and managed by a parent or guardian through our family registration process, and profile visibility for a minor's driver profile defaults to what a guardian has configured. If you believe a minor has provided us information directly and you'd like it removed, contact us using the information below.

How We Share Information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With the organization(s) running events you register for, so they can manage their own season and race day
• With service providers who help us run the Service — including application hosting, database and account infrastructure, analytics, transactional email delivery, and bot protection — under agreements limiting their use of your data to that purpose
• Publicly, where you or your guardian has chosen to make profile information public
• If required by law, or to protect the safety or rights of Kart Day, our users, or others

Data Retention

We keep account and race data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after in order to preserve the historical accuracy of results, standings, and season records. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; see Your Rights & Choices below for what that does and doesn't include.

Your Rights & Choices

You can, at any time:

• Review, correct, and update your profile information from your account page
• Change your public-profile visibility settings, in whole or by section
• Ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to delete your account — we'll remove your personal profile information, but historical race results tied to your entries (finishing positions, lap times, points) may be retained in de-identified or minimal form as part of the event record

To exercise any of these, contact us using the information below. If you're a California resident, this includes the rights described by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and we won't discriminate against you for exercising them. We don't currently offer the Service outside the United States; if you contact us from elsewhere, we'll still do our best to accommodate applicable local rights, including lodging a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls limiting who on our team can see your data, and row-level security on our database restricting each user to only the data their role needs. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies yourself; doing so may keep you from staying signed in.

External Links

The Service links out to third-party sites we don't control — a venue's own timing system, an organization's payment page for event fees, a driver's social media, or a partner venue's website. This policy doesn't cover those sites, and we aren't responsible for their privacy practices; check their own policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let registered users know.
